I've kicked around different forums for many years, woodworking, scrollsawing, knives and shooting and all seem to have a spring slow down as we come out of hibernation. Then picks back up a bit after everyone gets their first good dose of the outdoors. I know I'm on the computer less this time of the year as I'm planting my garden, taking care of winter's ravages on my yard or just wanting to be out in the sun.

well this weekend iam planning on going to the rifle range as i have this weekend off  :grin: but mostly i work odd hours so time on the pc is hard to find at times

wish i had you guys as neighbours to as when i shoot i go by myself as i have no shootin buddies either at the mo my wife drops me off at the range and her and the kids go to her aunts and visits them but hey iam still at the range  :grin:

i have a membership at an indoor range. with 4 kids wanting range time (2 ppl at a time) i get to go 4x a week (sometimes 2x during saturday). when the wife doesn't work that day, we get 2 lanes of fun. almost 2k rounds a week. walmart is my friend.

Depending on the type of shooting sometimes I like to go alone. For instance if I'm shooting bolt action I prefer to go alone, I can completely lose myself in the mechanics and really concentrate on each part. Pistol shooting can be a fun group thing, unless I'm working on technique or trying a new drill. Semi-auto rifle is more fun with more than one, I want to get a dueling target and have someone to shoot against. I also want to find someone to teach me Sporting Clays which is definitely a more than one thing.

Dueling trees and sporting clays are absolutely the most fun I've had shooting inanimate objects. :thumb:

my brother in law went to the range with me we had a go at target shooting then went on to the silhouettes it was great shooting them go they make a nice ping when you hit em  :sniper: we shot about 750-800 rounds ill post a picture of my best 100 yard target
