imschur
Mine was a Marlin model 60 that my dad bought used in about 1973 or so. I still have this rifle. I cant begin to imagine how many rounds have been through this gun.
rodent.22
I pulled a 15 month unaccompanied tour in the Phillipines and Thailand 71-72. I was married for 3 weeks when I shipped over. After I got home in '72, for our first Christmas together the wife got me a Winchester Model 270 pump .22. I still have it and I must say she's STILL giving me guns for Bdays and Christmas..... it's the bottom rifle in this picture. Wow, I've had it 38 years.... asmurff
Mine was a Marlin single shot Woodchuck or Chipmunk that a buddy gave me after he got a Marlin Model 60, I didn't have it long before I bought a 10/22 and I passed it on to a friend who was a Boy Scout Leader who wanted to teach his troop to shoot. techmike
My first was an old bolt action JC Higgins - was my Grandfather's. Passed it to my daughter in '01. She never got into hunting, but liked target shooting. At 25 yards she would keep using the same hole in the target...TM

Microgunner
It was a Winchester single shot youth rifle in .22short. I was given it by my father when I was 6yoa. It was stolen in a house burglary 9 years later.
Sam 8
First was a Ruger Single-Six, with both the LR and magnum cylinders. It was a gift from my Dad when I moved out at 17. He knew I was not moving into a "good area" and he didn't want me to be without some type of legit home defense firearm,(other than a deer rifle). So he gave me his pistol. Mind you, this was about 1977, I'd been through hunter Safety school, and had a .243 Rifle, so guns were a second nature.Still have the .22, and the .243.I
