imschur Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Friggin sewer is backing up into my woodshop. Of course I find this out after all the tenants showered. There goes my gun money.
Microgunner Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Man that's one of the worst home disasters you can encounter. I feel your pain.
Microgunner Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 So, whats on the build list in your woodshop? Stools? ;D Sorry, couldn't help making light of your plight.

Sam 8 Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Around here it seems to be a rule or something, every time I get a few bucks ratholed for some toy or stuffed into the stash to build my '56, somehow or another the fickle finger of fate finds out, and implements some crisis or another that requires at least all of my stash $ to make right.I am gonna get that truck built, though. One way or t'other.
imschur Posted June 12, 2010 Author Report Posted June 12, 2010 So there has been an odd smell in my apartment for a few days. I went to the basement and was greeted by a wall of unpleasantness. It would seem that someone forgot to dump the water out of the shop vac from last weekends incident. It was not pretty
techmike Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Crap! Sorry, bad choice of expletive!!!! I remember from Navy days, when a crapper on the ship got plugged, one did not use a plunger..... one reported the crapper number to the snipes, and they would back-blow it. Then some poor schmuck would have to scrape it off the overhead. That would have been me - SLJPO - (Shitty Little Jobs Petty Officer) Well, I found over time that it was one asshole that kept plugging the crappers with too much tp. Whatever. I practiced preventive maintenance - I didn't wait for him to plug it, as soon as he sat down and opened his magazine, I had it back blown... yes, while he was sitting on it. Never had that problem again! Anyway, sorry about your issue, I know what it is like to lose the project $$$$$.TM
asmurff Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 I've tossed on shop vac for less than that, just water left sitting in it.
