trant Posted March 7, 2011 Report Share Posted March 7, 2011 I've just bought this CMMG Sierra upper too. Has anyone had problems with a notched/standard hammer? Also, would this be picky on the magazine and ammo? I'm planning to use the Black Dog magazines that were designed for it, with Federal Champion ammo.EDIT: I've exchanged it for the LEP upper. It works fine with my notched hammer and Black Dog and CMMG magazines. But, I always shoot slowly for accuracy anyways.No ammo issues with the upper at all. And the Black Dog magazines seem to fit my Delton lower better than the CMMG even when they're fully loaded to the 10 rounds for CA. Also, both brands of magazines have the follower poke up high into the breech, so that blocks the bolt until you remove the mag, so that acts almost like a BHOA.
