Microgunner Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 What an odd looking ejection port/shell deflector.
imschur Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 yeah I have seen that on other brands as well. As a lefty I appreciate it :) Judging from the marks created during test fire at CMMG it works ;D
imschur Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 Here it is mated up with my Colt lower
Microgunner Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Damn....I like that. Give us a function report ASAP please.
imschur Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 Im thinking of dumping the stock handguards in favor of the Magpul MOE
Microgunner Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 I like the looks of that new fore stock.
imschur Posted October 1, 2010 Author Report Posted October 1, 2010 I finally got the MOE handguards installed. The rifle looks fantastic. I like the MOE HG better in person than in photographs. The fit is perfect and tight. Ill get a picture this weekend.
Microgunner Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Ill get a picture this weekend. With the new D7000?
imschur Posted October 2, 2010 Author Report Posted October 2, 2010 Nah it's not even shipping yet. Rumors are mid October
Microgunner Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Nah it's not even shipping yet. Rumors are mid OctoberWell, that's got to put a kink in your drawers. ;D
imschur Posted October 2, 2010 Author Report Posted October 2, 2010 Im ok, it's once it ships I get anxious. Fortunately the D90 is an awesome camera in it's own right. It's like hot chicks. They are all good. Some just have more fun stuff. Yet in my unskilled hands the output will remain the same regardless.

imschur Posted October 2, 2010 Author Report Posted October 2, 2010 I have a fast shutter speed
Microgunner Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Yeah, but I hear your hard drive is good for 50 shots, 100 if quality doesn't matter.
trant Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 I've just bought this CMMG Sierra upper too. Has anyone had problems with a notched/standard hammer? Also, would this be picky on the magazine and ammo? I'm planning to use the Black Dog magazines that were designed for it, with Federal Champion ammo.EDIT: I've exchanged it for the LEP upper. It works fine with my notched hammer and Black Dog and CMMG magazines. But, I always shoot slowly for accuracy anyways. No ammo issues with the upper at all. And the Black Dog magazines seem to fit my Delton lower better than the CMMG even when they're fully loaded to the 10 rounds for CA. Also, both brands of magazines have the follower poke up high into the breech, so that blocks the bolt until you remove the mag, so that acts almost like a BHOA.
imschur Posted August 7, 2012 Author Report Posted August 7, 2012 Heres an updated photo of my CMMG Sierra Thanks to FS2KSTD for helping make this project happen.
Microgunner Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 I see the MBUS are still attached. You've got a quick release on the scope mount?
FS2KSTD Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 Heres an updated photo of my CMMG Sierra Thanks to FS2KSTD for helping make this project happen. That rifle looks GREAT D ... especially that sexy lower! ;D
imschur Posted October 13, 2012 Author Report Posted October 13, 2012 That lower is sexy as hell. The scope looks a bit funny but my eyes like it.
Madhouse Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Can I get this CMMG upper with a 6" barrel?
