Finally got around to installing the Timney trigger in my Spike's Tactical-15 yesterday. After some reservation about doing it myself because the pictures in the instructions weren't very clear. I watched the Midway DVD on building AR-15 , it explained and showed the trigger installation very well, then I could understand Timney's direction with no problem. Everything functioned as designed and dropped the trigger pull from 6.4 to 3 pounds.
I let my .223 brass pile up over the summer plus I'd bought a 1000 pieces from Widners. I ended up with close to 2000 casings which were useable. Don't ever let it pile up like this, it is to much work to prep all of it for reloading, I've been working at it for 3 weeks but finally spotted the light at the end of the tunnel yesterday.
Kel Tec P3AT is pretty light, but it can also be painful to shoot. I carry mine regularly. I shoot a box of 50 when I take it to the range ever couple of months but I wear a glove with padding between the thumb and index finger. At 10 yards I can keep it on a paper plate most of the time. After 10 yard with a .380 running might be a better choice. BTW the trigger sucks!
I had the pleasure of dealing with RCBS over the weekend to fix a problem I caused with my case trimmer. The customer service rep help me get all the parts I needed to fix it and even though I told them it was my fault they didn't charge me a cent. Gun and shooting accessory manufacturers have go some of the best customer service in the country. I can only think of once I've had trouble dealing with one.
