Keith I love my 10/22 also and when people call it an Elmer Fudd gun I just smile. BTW Wal-Mart attracts strange people to their gun area, the salesman/manager in my local one is such an idiot I won't even go in there anymore. I've heard him tell a guy that asked for .45GAP, at the .45acp would work ???
That is why when fishing in NM you throw toothpicks in the water first, because laughing fish with pieces of bait stuck between their teeth is so unsightly
I bought me a MTM Rifle/Pistol rest today, not a high end one by any means, but better than the one I made from a 4x4, foam and covered in old jean material. http://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/shooting/shooting-rests-psr.html
As some of you know I'm new to reloading pistol ammo and I have a question; How do you store your reloaded ammo long term? Are dry boxes enough or do you need to hermetically seal the ammo and if so how?
I frequent one of those gun stores were regular customers are encouraged to come hangout, the coffee is always on and it isn't uncommon for someone to have brought donuts or bagels in. So I get to ocassionally hear some of these great statements. After then person leaves there is usually a lively discussion >:D
You last line was the most important "Would you trust your credit card info with these people?" and the answer is no! Knock-offs of clothing, bags and shoes were wrong enough, not to mention as you said illegal. However, knock-offs of firearm accessories is down right scary to me especially when you might not even know it is a knock-off. When I was stationed in Asia knock-offs were very common, but there was always something to identify them as knock-offs ie "Members One" jackets instead of "Members Only", "Adadas" bags and shoes instead of Adidas. Now it looks like they've moved beyond caring about Trademarks or Copyrights completely.
