  1. I don't know. Have never handled the M16 version. The parts list is not helpful, except that it shows two different part numbers for the lower - an M4 and a M16. So am guessing they made them so you are not able to put the collapsable stock on a M16.
  2. I am sure the gun manufacturers are cutting back to one shift and no overtime..... ;D
  3. Funny, he doesn't look like he is saying "Happy Easter"... Looks like he is saying, "Tonight the human will die".
  4. I sense..... a shot shell reloader in your future.... ;D
  5. Sounds like fun!
  6. Howdy & welcome.

Welcome! You will find many .22s to compare here.
  9. Howdy, welcome, and another Colt owner!!! :thumb:
  10. Pictures are gone........
  11. Sig, huh? How does it shoot? And welcome.
  12. Welcome to the forum. I agree with you about the new CCI ammo. Tight groups and no functional issues. :thumb:
  13. Howdy!
  14. Congrats! I had forgotten about the 2 - week "cooling off period". Glad i don't live there any longer! On mine, the trigger was the biggest obstacle to accuracy. I sent mine (trigger group) to Bill Springfield in Colorado Springs. I think it was $49 and it went from 9+lbs to about 4.5. Much better. As far as the tensioned barrel, you will have to loosen it to split the gun for cleaning. I made a dimple on the flash hider to always get the tension back to the same spot. Enjoy, only 13.5 days left. Plenty of time to buy some ammo.....
  15. OK, and welcome to the forum.
  16. Colt. :thumb:
  17. Yeah, it is. Since then, I run it at 4 complete turns in, with high velocity ammunition and zero issues.
  18. Yes, it does. To own an AR in California, it has to have a fixed 10 round mag, to load it one has to remove the rear pin and load the rounds into the mag. If you want to read about total idiocy, go HERE.
  19. Yeah, but - he lives in California. It would be an "assault weapon" there.
  20. Watch it here
  21. I understand you do not want to drive to Canada with a NRA or other pro gun sticker on your vehicle.
  22. That what was what mine was set to, and it ruined the spring.
  23. I have the Colt, and after a professional trigger job and figuring out how to really clean it, I am very satisfied. (Had it for 3 years) The Umarex HK 416 is nice looking, but after checking out the parts diagram, the internals appear to be the same as the Colt, so I didn't see any reason to purchase it. My understanding is the M&P15-22 is much easier to clean, but like yourself have "heard" of the out-of-battery fire problem. But hey, those could be the S&W version of the 'Colt haters". The Ruger is a 10-22 in a black skin, and all I have heard about the Mossberg is that it "feels" cheap. Well, it costs less than $300, so, yeah. I have not lived in California for 10-ish years so my data is subject to error, but .22lr firearms used to be exempt from the stupid assault weapon ban. But check your local listings to be sure. FYI, using the new CCI AR Tactical ammo, and a bipod I have been getting quarter to half dollar size groups at 50 yards with my Colt/Umarex. For me, that is fine for a semi .22. Regards, TM
  24. I just installed an airsoft version of the Troy 11" extreme battle rail on my Colt/Umarex M4. Very cool, or, tacticool. The supplied barrel nut threaded right on to the Colt/Umarex receiver. I have the "real" version Troy rail on my AR. Only difference I could see was the thread size of the barrel nut, and the real one has the gas tube channel. (and the price) It is what it is.
