I got an e-flyer from Mitchell's Mausers, they have jumped feet first into the .22 replica market, the PPS 50/22....a copy of the WWII Russian PPsh-41 submachine gun. Made in Italy. the Colt/Umarex does not lend itself to shortening the barrel. The barrel is about 5/16'' in diameter. The outer barrel schroud is capped with a hole that centers the actual barrel with the flash suppressor. You can buy a reverse flash suppressor and thread adaptor that gives the barrel that 11'' look.....

Me and the bride are heading west about 175 miles to ride out IRENE. We are only 40 miles from Virginia Beach and have 10 acres of tall trees surrounding the house and we don't want to risk getting injured if a tree falls on the house. I called last week and reserved a room, so lodging is no problem. We are boxing up the 2 wildcats and heading west. Best of luck to the rest of you folks further up in the Northeast!!!!

I was fortunate earlier this year, my local gun shop had a used 1st model,( I couldn't tell), for $25.00. It will cut your heart out easily. Sharpest knife I've ever seen....Congrats you will like it!

all reviews I've seen are good.... The American Rifleman has a great review in the new issue that I received Friday...:thumb: The flash suppressor has the shape but is not cut thru, held on by a set screw.The barrel is not threaded. The stock is fixed and the bolt release is molded on, non-functional. The forward assist is non-functional. All don't make a hill of beans, it's said to be a great plinker! I collect old locks, etc and my wife picked this item up in Danville, Va. It would fit in a cigarette pack, aluminum with brass screws and top knob. Marked WABCO WONDER with the number 8 stamped on the brass knob on top. Squeeze the ears together and the teeth open up enough on both sides to permit a blade to be installed on either or both sides....
