keep a STRONG flashlite and a good sized magnet handy. Turn off the lites and shine the lite ACROSS the carpet at floor level, most parts will gleam back at you. For small pins and clips in the carpet the magnet works well, sweep it slowly across the surface of the carpet. If none of this works have a small child look closely, offering a small reward. If THAT doesn't work, it cannot be found. Order another part..... ;D

M&P 22 vs Colt/Umarex. Who came out the winner?
rodent.22 replied to 44terryberry's topic in S&W M&P 15-22 General
how many rounds thru the Colt? It smooths up nicely with several hundred rounds thru the pipe...Also make sure the flash suppressor is Tight. The S&W mags function perfectly and are easy to load. All these tactical .22's have their own mags.... -
Jamming Issue....Suggestions needed

Excellent explanation!!! Thanks :thumb: -
As a Rocky Mountain spotted fever survivor I can tell you that tick-borne diseases will kick your butt. Ticks watch for movement and drop from the trees on you. They also will stay on tall grass and attach to your socks and legs. A tick bite is miserable, the itch is tremendous. Once it itches and the bump develops, you will be exposed to anything the tick is carrying.

Ruger 22/45 Pistols with Threaded Barrels
rodent.22 replied to imschur's topic in Ruger .22LR Handguns
Yeah Ruger is full of contradictions, especially the Mark pistols. The grips always were the slick styrene-type plastic. Back 20 years ago when I got my Mark II, the first thing I did was order full-checkered wood grips. Good Luck, you have a darned good looking gun there. Keep us posted on your results.... -
Has Anyone Purchesed One of These Yet?!
rodent.22 replied to sam.deatley's topic in HK MP5 A5, MP5SD .22 Tactical Rimfire
Umarex is actually the parent company of Walther. I have the Colt and am very happy with it. These Umarex guns are purpose-built firearms and NOT converted airsoft guns. The breakdowns for cleaning aren't too bad once you become familiar with the arm. The Walther chambers are tight, causing ammo pickiness on some rifles. After 5-6 hundred rounds they smooth up nicely. -
Acceptable Aftermarket Slider Stock
rodent.22 replied to sam.deatley's topic in GSG-522, GSG-5 Mods and Upgrades
check your receiver extension tube size, if its 1.140 inches its military spec. If it measures 1.160 it is commercial spec. If it's neither then it is propietary and you won't find an alternate substitute. -

Sam I researched the parts numbers on the Umarex site, The Colt (which I own) and the HK have the same part number for the receiver extension. It is all metal with a plastic slide stock, Mil-spec. A substitute stock mil-spec would be a slip on affair, I think. The GSG guns I don't know about. All the Umarex guns appear to be identical on the basic internals. -

Tomorrow is the day that is set aside to remember those who have fallen, given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives, doing their duty for their country. An UNENDING line of men, FOREVER YOUNG, gone from their loved ones. There are thousands upon thousands of homes that will be full of heartbreak tommorow remembering what might have been. As a Vet I want to remember and salute those who gave ALL. SALUTE!!!!!

Go for it, I OD'd my guns with Krylon Camo. It has held up real well. Also, with different mags and stock and handguards I can go back to black in 10 minutes....
