rodent.22 Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 is chinese ammo not allowed here in the States? I see everything else here from the damned place....anybody know why?
lmao_37 Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Well if Chinese ammo works like everything else i have had made in china it wont work ;D
imschur Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Speaking of Chinese ammo. A year or two ago some military sources were reporting the Taliban was using projectiles reversed engineered from US military projectiles. Can you guess the source of the ammo...
Microgunner Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Chinese firearms are no longer imported either.
bdavison Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 Problem with a lot of the chinese ammo is that you just never know when its steel cored, or has corrosive primers or corrosive powder in it. Best to steer far away from that junk. Ive seen a lot of it in the past where the powder was about equal to wet newspaper.
techmike Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Back when I was into SKS's, I could get Chinese 120 round battle packs for under $20. But they were steel cored, and got banned. Even though the Russian ammo was also steel cored. If you want to drool and see what we are missing in the "Land of the Free", check out Marstar in Canada. And, no, they don't ship Chinese firearms to the US. >:( Scroll down to Norinco and check out the prices)TM
Microgunner Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Some years back I purchased (3) cases of Norinco .308 Win steel cased Berdan primed ammo. It was (and is) the worst ammo I've ever had the displeasure to fire. Pressures were all over the place using report and recoil as a measuring stick. Sold the 2.5 cases I didn't fire. But it was cheap.
Longitude Zero Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 I recelntly got 2500 rounds of ChiCom ammo for my Draco AK. Nasty, dirty but it was cheap and fires.
