M1 Carbine .22

Legacy Sports international/Citadel is going to come out with a M1 Carbine clone in .22lr for around $325.  http://www.legacysports.com/products/cit_m1.html I sure would like to try one, my next fun gun was going to be to restock a 10/22 into an M1.

If the come out with a garand version, it will definitely go to the top of my "get immediatly" list. Im not big on the carbine, but a full length garand or M14 would be awesome.

I agree with the garand version, and I get it also along with the M1 carbine. I may yet order a Garand from CMT.

If Congress can force Obama and Clinton to allow the sale and reimportation of these rifles from South Korea, original Garands and Carbines in the US should be plentiful for a year or 3.

Well the other option is to restock a 10/22 http://www.eabco.com/m1_carbine_ruger_1022_tribute.htm I'd have to make something to make the magazine look correct.

I'll wait and see what the reviews on the Legacy look like.

Looks good. I own one Legacy Sports rifle, a Puma PPS .22lr and it's a fine rifle, maybe my favorite "tactical 22".

I'd like to give this one a look.

I bought one today at Cabelas. They only had 2 in stock and most of the sales guys didn't know they were in the back room! I ordered a real WW2 sling/oiler for it and I hope to get a range report this weekend.

Got one this week! It's great!! Wish some one would come out with a banana mag (30 rd.) for it. It's totally like handling a real M1 .30.

Me and this little rifle are gonna enjoy some fun together!!  :beer:      :thumb:

I think I may put some tung oil on the stock to bring out the grain. It's is soooo close to a real milspec M1 carbine that it is not funny.

Yep!I've always been real big on the originals after my Dad turned me on to them (he carried one in the Pacific Theater in WWII), and I've owned 5 of the originals, so I was very happy with this little .22.

I went with the 10-22 build, far better setup IMO. The Citadel M1 Carbine just has too many cheap parts. The 10/22 replica setup shoots and handles as good as it looks. After all its a 10/22 under the skin.

I think one of the other mods here has one of the 10/22 M1 carbine conversions too.
