Microgunner
This past Sunday morning, one of our part timers was at his regular convenience store coffee stop and was speaking with the clerk when he saw the clerk make an odd face and uncover his concealed handgun. My buddy turned to see what alerted the clerk and saw a black male slamming the door open and entering with extreme attitude. My friend readied his handgun as well, a Glock 23.The suspect customer went to the back of the store, slammed the cooler door open, chose a soda and proceded to the counter where he slammed the soda down. This "customer" then began reaching for his wallet but my buddy standing beside him could see him retrieving a 1911 pistol instead. Up came my friends pistol which thumped the bad guy in the back of the head because he was standing so close and yelled "don't do it buddy".The bad guy threw up his hands and said no,no, I'm cool, I'm cool.My friend then pulled two pistols from the back of this guy's pants and told him to get out of there. They got the guy's tag # as he peeled out of the parking lot and then called the police. The police told them "job well done" and after taking their statements, the BG's pistols and the video tape, left. Both pistols had been reported stolen. techmike
It is nice when the BGs announce their intentions by slamming doors, attitude, ect. Job well done to your co-worker, and the store clerk!
a|ex
that's a really scary situation. kinda sux the BG got away. he's free to do harm elsewhere. if that happened when i'm around, i don't really know what i'd do.
wobblinwheel
I'm not so sure I would have ignored the voices in my head saying: "PULL THE TRIGGER"! That would at least have ended ONE asshole's criminal career, and saved the tax-payers a fortune! (we were probably supporting him anyway)
bdavison
Well, i know I wouldn't have told him to leave. I probably would have told him to stick around while we wait for the cops. That way you get him, and the guns off the street.
Microgunner
Well, i know I wouldn't have told him to leave. I probably would have told him to stick around while we wait for the cops. That way you get him, and the guns off the street. In hindsight my buddy says he wished he'd have held the BG there but, in the adrenaline rushed state of mind he was in he just wanted the danger to be over as soon as possible and this is what seemed prudent to him at that moment.Police agreed, saying that might have prevented a grapple for any one of the four loaded hand guns present and presented. asmurff
I think sending him on his way was best, let the police catch him. If they'd have held him a sleazy liberal lawyer would twist it into who knows what (false imprisonment) in an attempt to get his client off.I partially agree with wobblin, but I'd have gone for a good pistol whipping >:D
