Memorial day weekend.

Saturday New Mexico Wine Fest, only NM wines allowed of which there are well over 20 vineyards. Plus I'll get to have my semi-annual smoked turkey leg.

Sunday church then shooting with my Hunny Bunny and possibly one of her friends. BBQ afterwards

Monday Memorial Day Parade, followed by Memorial Day Ceremony at the local Veterans Park. Possibly another BBQ!?

I remember those green things in the background there called trees. Sometimes I miss the abundance of trees back east, but then I go visit my parents and get reaquainted with the humidity I remember one of the prime reason I live in the southwest.  ;D  Oh by the way did you catch anything?

we got there during a huge mayfly hatch the fish were full. We caught some trout but we usually do better. There were so many flies they were landing on us and our lines. It was like Pearl Harbor with birds

Gotta go down to the city and find some new shoes, I am putting in upwards of 20 miles a week on the treadmill and I need some good kicks.

Clean up the shop and do some more research on parts for my 56 F-100 which is next on the list of things to do. It has only been waiting about 34 years. ::)

BBQ Monday afternoon with some friends.

We had a fun day. We went to the Albuquerque Wine Festival, and tried wines from numerous New Mexico vineyards. Plus good BBQ, a fair number of vendors with arts & crafts, honey, salsas, and other New Mexico products. We bought 4 bottles of wine also and got pamphlets on all the wineries we taste tested. A lot of them have local tasting rooms and a few even have restaurants. There are now 44 vineyards in the state, that is almost a 100% increase from when I moved back and there were only 23.

Sunday I cooked a pot roast, we went out bird watching in the jeep. That afternoon I shot 300 rounds out of the Colt OPS. Monday we went out on Diascund Resevoir in the SS Minnow (14 ft Jon boat) bird watching. Then back home, shot the rest of the brick. Ate the rest of the pot roast...
