This will be a tough series for me. My Giants vs Texas Rangers...... I have actually been to both Candlestick in San Fran, and the Ranger's stadium in Arlington. TM
Just got two of THESE from Brownells. Put the first one on my AR in about 7 minutes, very nice! Can't wait to get it out to the range. It really does improve the ergonomics. Going to put the other one on my Colt. TM Well crap -won't fit the Colt without serious modification.
Well, Colt says I had the spring adjusted too tight. (On the original spring). The new spring, (which is a heavier spring per Colt), should be adjusted as follows: With the adjustment screw flush with the surrounding metal, turn it in 4 complete revolutions clockwise. TM
Don't know if this is "normal" for the Colt/Umarex or not. (14 months and about 3.5K to 4.5K rounds) But the mainspring deformed and wore badly. Started to get some strange functional issues. Paid $12 for new one including shipping. I have never seen a spring deform like this before. TM
I have been working with Mike Peak of Peak Tactical, and we are trying to get a brake made that threads directly onto the Colt. The prototype that Mike made fits nicely onto my Colt, but changed the point of impact from the OEM comp. I am convinced that this is due to the o-ring grove in the brake. Mike has generously volunteered to make as many brakes as needed to get it right. I will followup as soon as possible. TM :thumb:
