  1. Hi Alex, Greetings from Ohio. TM
  2. Looks good buddy - glad you could use it! TM
  3. And since you are here - did you get your new scope??? TM
  4. I hear and understand - please do not take it personal, and feel free to add amendments. :thumb: TM PS - It is a work in progress and your help is appreciated!(as long as you remember to capitalize Texas) ::)
  5. Tell me what you think, add stuff...I want this to bounce around. I want a new way for congress to operate. 1. Let's have a tax on laws. As far as I can tell, this is the only thing that is Not taxed. But it should be. A new federal law should have a tax of 1 billion. U.S. corporations and US citizens may contribute for a new law. (limits will apply) Naturalized citizens may NOT contribute. Their children may, after age 21. 1A. All taxes collected for new federal laws shall be applied to the National Debt. 2. State laws are taxed at 500 million. Only corporations based in that state, and only legal state residents may contribute. 2A. All taxes collected for new state laws shall be payed back to taxpayers that actually payed state taxes. 3. Any new law may only become law after an existing law of equal stature is retired. We have too many laws now. Let's cap the number now. Federal and State requirement. Plus, every 10 years we the people repeal the 10 most unpopular laws, Federal and State. 4. Since we have now restricted the ability of our "law makers" to make new laws, I believe we can make them "part time" law makers. There are several very nice benefits to this. 4A. If we limit them to only 3 months in Washington, they will be in their home districts 9 months/year where we can get at them. (works for both fed & state) Can also decrease their salary and retirement benefits. 4B. With no "lawmakers" in Washington (or state capitols) lobbyists would have to get local - where we can get at them too. 4C. This would drastically reduce congressional staffs, costs and transportation expenses, which should make the green folks happy. (Nancy Pelosi won't be able to fly back & forth across the country at our expense. They now fly commercial) For instance, if the NRA wanted a new national carry law enacted, they would have to pony up 1 billion just to get the proposed law up for a vote. And some other law would have to be retired..... What do you think? Mike
  6. Welcome - put yer feet up & sit a spell! TM
  7. Heheheh
  8. Actually, since the march is the 235th anniversary of Lexington/Concorde, I DO have a Tri-Corn on order! ;D TM
  9. Ohio's March is this Saturday - can't make that one, but I am going to DC for the big one on the 19th. I have that week off, and plan to do the March and also visit the NRA's National Firearms Museum. Will post pics and comments as I can. :thumb: TM
  10. I have a couple thousand of that - It's good ammo, not as hot or accurate as Federal or BVAC in my Colt - works very well in my Marlin bolt action. TM
  11. Oh crap - now I'm being compared to "old ladies". :o Not fair at all!!!!
  12. Howdy! TM
  13. I sense a hint in your last post. Consider it done - supposed to rain next two days.... TM

  19. Excellent work! How do you like that scope? TM PS - It DOES look nice & evil. :auto:
  20. No problem - I think you will be happy with it! TM
  21. Yeah - My days off are Thur/Fri - going out to Delta reservoirs - Ohio DNR is releasing rainbow trout tomorrow. Supposed to be sunny and 80 degrees - it snowed last week. Getting my gear together as we speak! TM
  22. I have that BEC scope on my Colt M-4. No Problems with it at all. (Other than the light intensity control was very stiff) Zeroed at 50 yards, one dot up for 100yards (BVAC .22lr ammo). Has very bright optics for a small diameter scope, fairly thin mil-dot reticle and it is a good deal for the $$. That being said, it would not be my first choice for mounting on a "business" gun. From working on the light control knob it became apparent the scope in not sealed, as the illumination led simply pokes down into a cavity in the tube. So, internal fogging could be an issue in some areas of the country. But for plinking and hunting small game I think it is ideal. TM :thumb:
  23. Grandpa's stuff. It was cut off in the pic, but there is a .50 cal single musket ball mold up there. TM
  24. True - It IS small by Texas standards. But I caught it in California, so it was considered average size there. Actually, 2.5 lbs from Lake Natoma. It was a keeper! TM
