asmurff Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 The 100+ temps in AZ have followed us home, it is suppose to be between 100-103 here today. I don't think the roots to the shrubs I'm removing are going to get out of the ground today. >:(
Microgunner Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Jeeze.....now that's hot. Stay in the AC.
George Wood Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Speaking from North Texas where the temp is around 100 everyday during June-August (98 as I type) heat is heat dry or not. When I leave the facility in the afternoons it is around 112 inside the car. Wonder how people served before AC?
bdavison Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 It was 103 here for three days straight...middle georgia...and no...its not dry heat...LOL
Microgunner Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 It's been up to 89 here in central Florida. Whew!! ;D
edgecrusher Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 i'm near drew and lucky, but let me tell you, there is a difference. where i work, we do plastics, and we have heat. last year,as it has not really heated up in the north east yet, we had 143 degress at my machine with 120 percent humidity as we cool with water. it f$#ck*ng sucks. i have been to vegas and to florida and i have to say, humidity is what'll get you
asmurff Posted June 25, 2011 Author Report Posted June 25, 2011 I've been working outside repairing an in-ground watering system and removing a couple of shrubs. Luckily all the work has been under the shade of big tree out front. I work for a couple of hours each morning before the temps start climbing, then do my inside stuff in the afternoon in the A/C.
techmike Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 When I lived in Sacramento, summer was routinely triple digit. I put up a mister in the back yard - that thing worked great. But of course, they only work in a dry heat. ;D
asmurff Posted June 25, 2011 Author Report Posted June 25, 2011 When I ge to building the covering for our patio I plan to include one of those also.

asmurff Posted June 26, 2011 Author Report Posted June 26, 2011 Mine totally rejected the idea, no sure if it was the fan, the broom handle which she unaquainted with or the outfit I told her went with it.
