asmurff Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 Stay safe Drew. Just talked to the old folks in NJ to make sure they were battened down and had enough meds on hand and what not.
Madhouse Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 Hope it fizzles out over the water and doesn't cause too much distress for anyone.

imschur Posted October 31, 2012 Author Report Posted October 31, 2012 I uploaded a few pictures here. Take note of all the trees broken in the 3rd image. That must have been a hell of a blast of wind.
asmurff Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Wow, are you without power? The 3rd picture is wild, must have been channeled by the lake, or river below it.
imschur Posted October 31, 2012 Author Report Posted October 31, 2012 I dont know how we have power when everyone around us is without. They did state that they might turn us off to service others.

techmike Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 Great pictures - what kind of camera did you use?
imschur Posted November 6, 2012 Author Report Posted November 6, 2012 Some were a Nikon D7000 and the others Nikon D800
techmike Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 Quality shows - sometime you should start a thread on just why an expensive digital camera takes better pics than a cheaper one. Is it the lenses, sensor, pixel processing, all of the above? Very dramatic pictures.

I think a lot folks really don't understand what kind of camera they need for a majority of their needs. Your right though, a good subject for a different post.
