  1. Here in OKC ammo is beginning to show up again in 9mm, 45ACP, 223/5.56 etc. 22LR is nowhere to be found. A company rep said that 22LR is the lowest profit margin of all ammo made and will be the very last to return to the marketplace. He said no ammo will be pre-panic prices due to the fact that all ammo pretty much resets upward on Jan 1 as a part of their annual increase in base prices. The co's he reps for have not raised prices to retail except for the Jan 1 price increase that is normal in the market.
  2. lSightly yes...Pre-Panic I would not hold my breath.
  3. At that price they can keep it.
  4. Yesterday it hit 99. Humidity 75%.
  5. I have had about the same time of ownership and love it. About 4500 rounds downrange.
  6. None available in ANY of the LGS in my area. Unless you are there when it is put on the shelf you are outta luck for 22, 223, 9mm, 40, 45 and many rifle rounds. Once a box hits the shelf a customer is buying it. Now guns, even AR's are readily available.
  7. Like every rimfire it gets dirty quick and S&W really needs to be run clean. Mine prefers the high velocity , hotter, ammo. It loves CCI Stingers but chokes on Federal Bulk. Keep it clean and lubed and fire the hot stuff.
  8. I am glad I stocked up. Almost 10K rounds of 22LR and about the same in various other calibers. An ammo rep told me a couple of weeks ago they expect the shortage to last for at least another 12-18 months. As long as there is the possibility of limitations hoarding is the way of the world.
  9. nteresting idea. However the consequences of getting caught with one...NOPE.
  10. At the shops I do business with and Academy etc the ammo is gone within minutes or an hour of it hitting the shelves.
  11. Fortunately at the several LGS's in my area the only prices that have risen is ammo and ALL that increase is due to the manufacturers price increases. One even went so far as to post the letter they got on the wall in a blown up poster size. It pissed off the ammo company when they found out but I say screw the ammo companies when they do this.
  12. In my area ALMOST EVERY retailer has cut buyers down to only one box per person per day. Used to you could get 3 boxes per day per caliber per person. Now it is only one box PERIOD.
  13. Remington bulk has been good for me. Now that Aquila CRAP is a waste of raw materials.
  14. It is the same way where I am at. If you do not know somebody at the shop you are SOL. That and the three box per day per person limit.
  15. The Chairman of that committee is (D) Patrick Leahy. Although he is a liberal demonazi he is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Many (D) senators and reps are from pro-gun states and they have to run for reelection at midterm. This really gives the pro-gun side an advatange. Here in OK when a tornado comes thru the media finds the ignorant/dolt/one toothed wonder to speak on camera. It is there venue. They get to pick the actors. It is stupid to complain about it as it is the way it is.
  16. Fortunately when I bought mine I got 25 mags for it. Ammo prices in my area have not gone up but availability sure has gone down.
  17. It is aggravating as hell. I fear that magazine capacity restrictions are soon to be upon us.
  18. I never drank the Magpul magazine kool aid. They make a good product. I found and use Lanier Magazines exclusively with my AR's. They too are severly backordered too. Before the craziness I could get Laniers cheaper and faster than Magpuls.
  19. Or Oklahoma.
  20. Locally .223. .22LR, 380, .308 etc is extinct. You can buy cheap bulk 9mm and 45 is about all that is available. Even shotgun ammo is scarce.
  21. BWAHAHAHAHA
  22. My son has graduated college. However from kindergarten all the way thru HS ther was at least one Campus Officer, who was a member of the local PD assigned to each of his schools. In the HS the teachers were activley encouraged the CCW. I find the folks shocked about this arrangement a mite bit stupid/ignorant.
  23. Active duty LEO.
  24. My LGShops did not raise prices either and likewise sould out of AR guns and accessories.
  25. It is kinda crappy to say it but I am very glad for the huge economic debate the USA has got to have. Hoepfully that will keep the asshats in DC occupied instead of beating up up the Second Amendment.
