Anybody see the show "Sniper Inc." on National Geographic channel last night? An hour with the Barrett family shooting the 50 cal sniper rifle. They showed a new upper that shoots, 20mm cannon shells as well. Great show. I totally enjoyed it.. 8) A little excerpt..

Yeah Drew..Send some down here to Texas..

What kills me is, I've had the gun exactly 3 weeks...And haven't got through 2 mags without a failure, after cleaning, emails, adjustments etc...Now I'm out another $60.00.. In retrospect I should have probably taken the Lifetime Warranty thing at Gun Genie, but I was afraid I was going to get another lemon...

WOW...That was soooooooo Close... I guess he forgot the golden rule... Treat every gun like it's loaded..

We use ultrasonic cleaners on electronic circuit boards. Boards come from the field full of carbon dust and other good stuff. 1st thing that happens is a bath in an ultrasonic cleaner, followed by a dry off in a pizza oven. Then, the troubleshooting starts. Amazing how many boards get fixed by just an ultasonic bath. Triacs and conductive dust don't like each other.

I hear you guys...I'm just hoping they can actually FIX it... For the price of the pistol, accesories, it came out to aroun $400.00... I can buy a hell of a 22cal pistol for $400.00..(A Woodsmen for instance.. ;D)..

Nope....I pay for it to get there, They pay for it to go back...Yeah...I didn't like it either... I’m sorry. Please return it to the physical address below with a letter stating your Name, Return Address, Phone Number, E-Mail Address, Model, Caliber, Serial Number, Brand and Type of Ammunitions used, any accessories that you’re sending along with it and difficulty experienced. We’ll need a copy of the purchase receipt to qualify for the warranty; otherwise there could be a charge for some parts and/or services as well as return shipping. No return authorization number is required. If you have a dealer return it for you, we’ll need their information for return. If you ship it yourself, you can use UPS or FedEx, but a dealer can ship it through the mail much cheaper. Do not ship it through the USPS mail yourself though. Please also keep a record of your serial number for yourself, since that’s the easiest way for us to look it up. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Turnaround time is about 4-6 weeks. If you have an active law enforcement or military ID, please include a copy of that as well. Kel-Tec CNC Inc. Service Dept. 1475 Cox Rd Cocoa FL 32926

I've got no choice, if I want to make sure it's right. Bought mine using Gun Genie, and the local dealer offered to exchange it for a new one. They only have 5 in inventory, and I'm afraid I may be repeating history, or worse yet be out of stock on the return. Kel Tec says they'll make good on it, so I'm going that route. On that $75.00 overnight fee was that through a UPS shipping center or a UPS store. BIG difference in shipping prices between the two..

Thank you MicroGunner 8)

The fine folks at KEL TEC have told me to ship my PLR22 to them for warranty work. What steps do I have to take for the shipping folks, like UPS, Fed EX, etc...Before I shipped, or called the shippers for info, thought I'd put to you guys because of all the real world experience doing this. Never know what kind of misinformation you may get when contacting the shipper. Depends on who picks up the phone. So any thoughts or experiences feel free to post.. Thanks..

I've been looking at the Rhino..It's the "Different" factor, that's kind of got me now. Let us know how it does on the range. Great Photos!!!

I've got an old 38 S&W 38 special I've had for almost 40 years. Looks like it's brand new out of the box. I've got a thing for revolvers, How much easier they seem to shoot one handed or from the hip, and even off handed. Until the last few months, I've never owned a semi-auto pistol. They are a lot of fun, and the extra capacity, means more fun per mag. Probably just me, being so damn old, but the semis seem, like learning a foreign language. The last few months have been frustrating, but cool learning something new, but I still can't hit the side of a barn with my 45 one, or off handed, getting better with the 2 handed grip, with decent groupings..But I"m still trying.. ;D Same for my old Dan Wesson 357..Not a spec of rust anywhere.. P.S. I don't even try to shoot my semi's from the hip yet. Fraid I'm going to blow a hole in the ceiling at the range.. ;D

Off to a pretty good start :) CTD Archangel 556 kit
Tal replied to jestmaty's topic in Ruger 10-22 General
Very cool.. Have you had a chance to fire it yet? Wondering about it.. Thanks.. -
Well that was yesterday and yesterday's gone... Off to the range tonight. Fired 1st 2 clips flawlessly...And then a Failure to Fire... And then I couldn't get past a clip without at least 2 falures to fire. And the more I shot it the more pissed off I got. Of course the Failures to Fire were followed by Failures to eject. The shell looked like a good strike but right on the rim.. A lot of fun digging out live, struck rounds with a pocket knife. Shooting Remington hollow points. What kills me is I took the same round, and fired off 300 rounds with my dependable, steady, straight shooting, never let me down NEOS, right after being frustrated by the PLR.. This KEL TEC PLR22 is going to Davisson's once I make the call tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how that life time warranty works. I'm hoping either Kel Tec can fix this thing or give me a new one. I did hear from their gun smith today and he said the gun should never have been shipped with loose bolt screws....
