The answer to governments budget problems... Just keep porking the tax payers...Their day is coming and I hope it's next November. Just let us get through 14 more months of this nonsense!!!! You know, Back in 08 when the corporations were laying off about 900K employees a month the only sector that showed job growth was government employees. Now they're feeling the pinch like corporate america did 3 years ago and having to lay off. But they have a way out that the corporations didn't have. It's called taxing to death the poor dumb guys that are still lucky enough to be working, to prevent their wasteful spending from coming to an end. Damn shame Drew..

Forget to mention..At one time the old 20's JC higgins would fire, but has not been fired in years, due to a messed up, and now missing firing pin... But is my assumption logical. A rifled shotgun barrell increases accuracy with a slug, but causes the pattern to spread with shot??? Curious..

Disassembled this pistol one more time tonight. I found the problem. There are 2 allen head screws that hold the bolt together. They were loose as hell. Being a newbie to semi-autos, I thought this was the way it was supposed to be on 1st disassembly. After checking around the web, found several posts about these allen's becoming loose and letting rounds, and spent cartridges wind up behind the bolt. One post I read, a guy had this happen, and the round broke the firing pin from beating on the round in the rear on the ejection cycle. Put loc tite on the Allen bolts. Tightened up the bolt, and all I can say is this PLR22 is one sweet pistol. Bought a cheap red dot, dialed it in while at the range. Ran 500 rounds through it at the range tonight, and NO failures of any kind, and could pull the trigger as fast or as slow as I wanted. BTW...The mag loader worked great, and is well worth the $10.00.

I did not know there was such a thing...This site is an education for me. The Taurus Judge has a hell of a spread with #4 shot, and Taurus claims the wide spread is due to the rifling. I've got an old JC Higgins 410 from the 20's. My grandfather gave it to me. Barrell has been cut down when he gave it to me. Said he stuck the barrell in the mud and the end of the barrell blew up so he cut it down. I have noticed it doesn't have near the spread of the judge, so I guess rifling with shot does increase spread and rifling on a slug would increase accuracy.??? Let us know how that rifled barrel does with slugs. You guys have got me interested in one for my Persuader...

Electicity, water, sewer, even a phone. They steal the phone every time we replace it, but the lines are there and active. I've thought about Lon network or some other thing, but you can't get DSL, and no cell phone signal. In that way it's heaven... ;D

I know it's just a prop, but does it do anything for flash???

Drew...You need to add a "Drool" emoticon...

Thanks for the info MadHouse. When I went to the Brown, AJC out of Klute had the biggest inventory, and were more aggresively priced than everyone else I saw there. In fact they were so well price, I picked up my 2nd judge, and my FNP45 from them..My loves to hear me talk about going to gun shows since then.. ;D

My and my brother have a problem. We own a couple of hundred acres in Mississippi. We got it fixed up pretty nice, with a 32 foot travel trailer parked on it, water and sewer permantly hooked up, and in addition we built a 900 square foot cabin. We keep the washer, dryer, sink, refrigerator in the cabin and basically sleep in the camper. Been that way for years, with no problems. Across the road there was an old country store from our place, where an old couple my parents had known for years, owned and operated it. Unfortunately they died a couple of years ago, and we have had hell keeping the place togther since then. They looked out for the place, and if they saw anybody enter the long 1/3 mile driveway, would get in their car and see what the hell was going on. Since they have passed on, the places are getting broken into about every month. Kids I think. They just break in and destroy stuff. I have called the county sherriff numerous times, and we have a good idea it's some kids that live in a little community about 1/4 mile from the property, but haven't been able to prove it. Really a drag. Used to be, just go over, set up, hunt, run trot lines in the Pearl river, 4 wheelers etc..Since they died, every time we go, we have to spend all our time fixing the place up, only to hear that it's been broken into and torn up within a month. Kind of ruins the idea of a vacation. The place is devided up in two sections. Where the lodgings are is a 140 acre tract, and then there is another tract of 75 acres about 4 miles from the 1st. It's gotten so bad, I'm thinking about just moving the camper and camp house over to the place 4 miles away to see if I can get some relief. Then I got the idea of mounting and camoflaging game cameras in the surrounding trees, and inside the places. You guys got any other ideas? I go about 4 to 5 times a year, but it's really getting to be a drag having to work and clean up vandalism and theft every trip.. thanks..

I hear ya...I've got an 18 year old who vacillates between College, Marine Corps, Cage Fighting, and Special Forces...Cage fights at the local bars for money and entertaining drunks, and is thinking about signing up special forces. His mother is about to die, but I tell him.. "Your life son..I can't live it for you"..

Glad I didn't go... I would have went to the Brown. MadHouse. Have you been to any of the other High Caliber shows besides the one at the Brown? I see they come to Houston every 3 months, and Pasadena every 3 months, and Conroe every 3 months and then they start over again. The only one I've been to is at the Brown. Wonder if there are as many vendors at Pasadena and Conroe..
