techmike Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Announcing the first annual Tactical22.Net Postal Match! A postal match is where you download a target, print it, dust off your favorite Tactical 22lr firearm, and shoot your best 5 shots at 50 yards. Postal matches are fun because they allow members from all over to have a friendly competition without having to travel. PRIZES – First place wins the coveted Tactical 22 TOP SHOT hat, and a Brownell's gift certificate. 2nd through 5th place will receive the less coveted, but still really cool Tactical 22 hats. Old Salt Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 Gonna try to get out and give it a shot (he he ::) ), even though it's gonna be around 107 degrees. :thumb:
Northerner Posted August 12, 2013 Report Posted August 12, 2013 just to make sure my printer is printing the target out correctly, what is the O.D. of the outer ring?mine is printing out at six inches.
techmike Posted August 12, 2013 Author Report Posted August 12, 2013 107?? Hope your lead doesn't melt.....The OD of the 6-ring is 7.5"
Northerner Posted August 13, 2013 Report Posted August 13, 2013 my laser printer is dying so my target will be faded but i got it enlarged to about the right size.im looking forward to trying this with my CMMG-22 i put together, should be fun!!
techmike Posted August 13, 2013 Author Report Posted August 13, 2013 Faded is a-ok, good luck! What was the size issue caused by?TM
Northerner Posted August 13, 2013 Report Posted August 13, 2013 i dont know what caused it to print in a different size, its been messed up for awhile but i can correct size in the controls.had to print it out at 124% size which is still a bit small but its okay.would it be against the rules to paste on a 'shoot-n-c' target onto the black center circle? it would be the exact size of the '8' ring.
edgecrusher Posted August 13, 2013 Report Posted August 13, 2013 Time constraints may keep me from doing this, but I'm going to try :thumb:
asmurff Posted August 13, 2013 Report Posted August 13, 2013 107?? Hope your lead doesn't melt.....The OD of the 6-ring is 7.5"Mine came out at 7"
techmike Posted August 14, 2013 Author Report Posted August 14, 2013 i dont know what caused it to print in a different size, its been messed up for awhile but i can correct size in the controls.had to print it out at 124% size which is still a bit small but its okay.would it be against the rules to paste on a 'shoot-n-c' target onto the black center circle? it would be the exact size of the '8' ring.Glad you got it figured out, maybe I should not have posted the target as a jpeg.....I need to be able to see the target's scoring rings to be accurate when I score them, so that would be a no on the shoot-n-c.Sorry!
techmike Posted August 14, 2013 Author Report Posted August 14, 2013 Mine came out at 7"Hey Smurff, what software are you using to view & print the target?
techmike Posted August 14, 2013 Author Report Posted August 14, 2013 Time constraints may keep me from doing this, but I'm going to try :thumb:Edge, I hope you can make it!
asmurff Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 I'm using Windows Photo Viewer. I got it to print the correct size by setting it to letter instead of the default 8x10.
wks92 Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 If the first postal match goes well, can we have a Tacticool bolt action tack driver class? :P I would love to shoot a friendly postal match with my new trainer!
imschur Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Can someone take a picture of a target with bullet holes in it and write "Tactical22.net Postal Match" somewhere on it?
techmike Posted August 18, 2013 Author Report Posted August 18, 2013 Nice shooting! To answer your question, sorry, but no. It is a Postal Match, not an email match, and everyone has to use the same target, otherwise it would not be fair. TM
