Hey Plinkster, The part in question is the rear limit stop for the bolt assy, or "slide" as Colt has named it. I have probably near 5k rounds through mine and the bumper appears untouched. I am thinking that your spring might be adjusted for standard ammo, and you have been shooting HV ammo? This means that the spring is not stopping the rearward motion of the bolt, and it has been impacting the bumper. Might want to check the spring's adjustment - The adjustment screw should be flush with the slide housing for standard velocity ammo, and in 4 complete turns for high velocity ammo. Nice to hear of the good customer service from Umarex! TM
Home from the inlaws and re-grouping. Thursday night football, go Niners! LMAO - Man, sucks to be you today!!! Hope it gets better. Happy Thanksgiving to all
I have been thinking about getting a derringer. Anyone have any info/suggestions/warnings? I have never held or fired one, the price range on gun broker is from $99 to $600. The calibers range from .22 short to 45 LC/.410 shot shell. Thanks, TM
My owner's manual says the GSG1911 was designed for HV (high velocity), and it was adjusted to also use high quality standard velocity ammunition. Mine has digested everything I have fed it, with no problems. TM
