Where do you guys buy your optics?

I've bought from Optics Planet once or twice.  To be honest, I try and find deals on forums for NIB stuff.  I picked up my latest EOTech that way.

The NC Star stuff can be found at the local gun shows pretty often too.

Where are you?

We rarely have a weekend here in Housto where I can't get to one local gun show or another.  There are 2 big organizations that have them at the convention center downtown monthly, then there are the ones in Pasadena and Tomball, etc.

Ahh yes, Connecticut.  It is indeed sad how anti some of the NE states are.

I was born and raised in northern Maine, left there for Texas when I was 25 and never regretted it.  Although Maine is still pretty open with it's gun laws.

I got my optics from Primary Arms. Great stuff for the price and really good customer service. They sell out fairly quickly because of their excellent reputation on AR-15.net but if you join their mailing list you'll be the first to know when new stuff arrives.

I was at a gun store yesterday, they had an EOTech 512.A65 for $449 (robbery).

Member pricing on BotachDefense for the 512.A65 is $340.

Since I bought the Takedown model and it's a bit finicky with receiver-mounted sights/scopes,

I bought a Skinner peep sight from Skinnersights.com, and I'm shooting way better than with

the factory open sight.  Plus that case they have holds just the gun and some ammo in tight

spaces like under a seat...so you've always got the gun with you!

As far as gun shows, well I live in RI and there hasn't been a show here in 30 years. I do miss them.
